I’ve been researching your website for a while now, and I’m having a hard time making up my mind on what would be the best fit for us. My husband and I are looking for a good quality bed that will last and be as comfortable as possible so that we can sleep well. Right now we are in a Tempurpedic and we wake up every morning tired and in pain, so I definitely know to avoid memory foam. We are both athletically built, but on the large side. My husband is 6’3″ and about 280 pounds and I am 5’10” and around 175 pounds. We would like a king size. What would you suggest?
Ideally, an all latex mattress would be the best.
They are hard to find at stores to try, what with most stores pushing memory foam.
There is, however, a low cost way to test those waters, so to speak.
Buy a 2″ soft Talalay latex topper. Flip your mattress over and add the topper.
The high density poly foam on the underside of your mattress provides good support.
The latex topper will provide the surface comfort, which is far superior to the memory foam on the top of your Tempurpedic.
We have had many Tempurpedic customers, over the years, who have done this and have experienced a comfortable night’s sleep that has lasted another 5 years, on average.
Here is a link to the latex toppers.
