We stayed at The Palm and Spa Hotel in Miami last week and slept on a glorious mattress which was incredible.
Usually I take many medications and I’m still up in such pain even after we replaced our mattress around 2 years ago with a pillow top brand from Macy’s.
The Palm Hotel’s mattress was a Sealy Posturepedic Encore 750 Plush Pillowtop and without any meds I slept all night and each night like a baby!!!
So after cervical spine fusion and still having lower back pain from DDD and scoliosis.
What can I do to make our new mattresses firmer or which mattress do you recommend ?
Thank you for taking the time to help. I’ve read the blogs and info on the topper styles you offer.
A firm Dunlop or Talalay firm topper will firm up the feel of the mattress you have. But, it won’t replicate the feel of the mattress you slept on in Miami.
The Encore name is used for hotels. The comparable Sealy Posturepedic that is available at retail is called “Classic Posturepedic, Level A-3”.
The model name for that mattress will be different at every store.
Keep in mind that pillowtops lose their shape too quickly to satisfy my sense of value.
Hotel rooms aren’t used every night, and the hotels will replace their mattresses frequently to maximize their guest’s support and comfort.
This is not the same scenario you want for a master bedroom.
Your best bet is not to try and salvage the mattress you have.
Our recommendation, for support, comfort AND longevity, is to go with a new Sealy Posturepedic mattress without a pillowtop.
Add an EverEden all natural 2″ soft Talalay latex topper to that for long lasting comfort and added longevity to the mattress.
This combination is the best choice for extraordinary value and comfort…the best way to get your money’s worth from your mattress purchase.
Here are links to that same Posturepedic in plush and to the latex toppers.
