I am a 63 year-old female with severe back problems (4 levels of cervical spine fused and nothing surgical can be done for my lower back) and fibromyalgia (diagnosed 30 years ago).
I’ve been followed by a pain clinic for several years and am frightened by the narcotics I need to take to function.
I spent over $2K on a memory foam mattress (adjustable) that I was assured would help me.
Even the simplest of movements in this bed cause me to call out-loud in pain.
Needless to say, I do not get restorative sleep. I’m prepared to purchase a new bed and am considering a Saatva.
In the meantime, would one of your toppers help me? If so, the 2″ or 3″ and what brand?
Any assistance and/or suggestions you have will be so much appreciated.
There is memory foam in those beds, as well….and it’s the memory foam that is causing the problems.
Memory foam is thee worst upholstery material ever invented.
A latex topper, could very well be, all you need.
The Ever-Eden 2″ Soft Talalay is the one that gets all the rave reviews.
I suggest flipping your mattress and putting the memory foam side down, before adding the latex topper.
