Thank you so much for the advice.
I have one last question. Memory foam mattresses…they better?
I am looking for the firm mattress. Which would be better, more luxurious?
Sealy Posturpedic A3 Mire Monte Firm plus latex topper or one of the Sealy’s premium memory foam mattresses?
If so, do I still need latex topper for memory foam?
What bed do you, as an expert, sleep on? Price is not the issue, I just want to find the best firm bed.
Thank you again, enjoy your day!
In the 20 years it’s been in existence, memory foam has proven itself to be the worst upholstery material on the market. The industry loves it, because it creates a situation where the consumer has to replace it frequently…without the factories having to replace it under warranty. It’s a temperature sensitive material that softens as it warms from your body heat….losing its comfort and support within a year or two.
But, when you get off of the mattress, the memory foam returns enough that you will not likely prevail in a warranty claim. It sleeps hot and makes it difficult to change position.
And, as if that weren’t bad enough, it’s a health hazard…off gassing the toxic chemicals from which it’s made.
When you shop in stores, the salespeople talk about it like it’s the best thing since sliced bread…because that’s where the money is.
We are talking about latex as thee best that has ever been…and memory foam as being the worst thing ever invented.
We sleep on a Natura Greenspring in ultra plush, which isn’t as soft as it sounds. It has a nice in between feel…not too soft and not too firm.
It’s a pocketed coil unit, superior to the Simmons Beautyrest, and upholstered with natural Talalay Latex…no memory foam.
