3 Section Latex mattress, Which side is up?

Hi Mattress Expert,
Our daughter is moving and gave us her 1 1/2 year old latex mattress.
It has three sections inside a zippered cotton cover.
The sections are 6″,  3″  and 1″.
The bottom 6″ piece has arrow labels around the sides pointing up.
However, the up arrows are now doing down.
It appears to be upside down. Does it matter?
There are holes an inch apart all over; one side has 2″ holes,the other side has 3″ holes.
However, the base section with 2″ deep holes is at the bottom and opposite the direction the arrows are pointing for up.
Hope this is not too confusing.
We’re thinking of flipping the thicker section so the arrows are pointing up, per the labels.
Any thoughts,
Thanks, Edna
Hi Edna,
How it’s supposed to go, my be different than what you prefer.
Normally, the 6” slab would be the core.
Then the 3” with the 1” on top.
But, if you mix them up and are happier as a result, not a problem.
I suggest using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping your mattress clean and dry will greatly extend the life and loft of the upholstery materials inside. Ours sleep cool and make NO Noise.

Thanks, Pete
