The Platinum models are inappropriate for the weight of your husband.
For longevity, the triple strand coils of the Black is what you’ll need to support a man that size.
Even so, you will need to use your latex topper with it.
To answer your question, the coil density of the Platinum is 1000 in queen.
The actual coil count is only 900 in queen. “Coil Density” is one of the industry’s BS terms.
The coil counts are proportionately higher in the king size.
There is only a few coils difference between a standard king and a Cal. king.
The gauge of wire is 13.75
