My wife and I purchased a Tempurpedic mattress, about a month ago.
We returned it yesterday and found the Simmons Beautyrest Legend was to our liking.
We almost asked for the delivery of the Legend to replace the Tempurpedic, but held off so I could do research.
There was a lot of noise about whether the quality of the Legend was equal to the Black line.
Today we went and looked at the Black L-Class Medium Firm and found it nice as well. We liked the Legend, too. Knowing that some of these mattresses are exclusive to a retailer I don’t want to overpay for it.
The cost of the Legend mattress was about $200 more than the cost of the Black Series Hope model.
If we go back for a refund we have to pay a restock type fee of $175. They don’t charge that fee for exchanges.
I wanted to know if you had an opinion on the Legend specs vs. the Black L-Class specs.
And if we would be better served to go with one vs. the other, given the various cost issues.
If you offer a solution to buy through you, that is fine as well.
If there is a fee for your expertise please let me know.

Hi Sean,
The Legend is an exclusive mattress and has more bells and whistles than a Platinum model.
Those bells and whistles don’t amount to much, but that store has grossly inflated the price.
You can buy a Platinum Series Beautyrest for far less.
