Hi Peter,
Last week, you suggested that I might like either the Simmons or the Natura of Canada Greenspring.
I did visit a store that has the Simmons and I tried it.
Here is my impression of the Simmons.
After 15 minutes on the bed I could feel heat welling up under me.
There are too many comments everywhere against memory foam sleeping too hot. So, I’d like to avoid that.
Reviews of this Beautyrest mattress are somewhat bad if I can believe any reviews.
I’d like to get more information about the Natura of Canada Greenspring mattresses.
Is there one you recommend more than the others.
Thanks, Joseph
Hi Joseph,
This is why we recommend a latex topper to go along with a Simmons Beautyrest.
The latex topper sleeps cool and insulates you from the memory foam in the Beautyrest mattresses….and, dramatically slows the wear of the memory foam.
A Canadian company, Natura, which I have been using for years, as a high quality alternative to the Simmons Beautyrest, is available to ship throughout the US.
The make a pocketed coil unit also, a barrel shaped, pre-compressed coil like the Beautyrest.
The coil count is higher and the coils are stronger than Simmons.
Inside, there is no memory foam, using layers of Natural Talalay Latex instead.
The Ultra Plush model is what we sleep on, at home, and is not too soft, by anyone’s standards.
This mattress does not need a latex topper for durability or comfort.
Here is a link to that line of mattress:
The Natura GreenSpring series combines the natural elements commonly found in Natura, such as wool and latex, but it has a specially designed pocketed coil system to provide your body with extra support.
