Hi Mary,
Will it work?…as in flex with your adjustable bed base? Yes.
Will it last? Not for very long.
Since S&F was purchased by Tempurpedic in 2013, they’ve added a lot of memory foam to all their models.
Memory foam doesn’t hold up well, at all…adjustable bed or not.
The adjustable base complicates matters some.
When the head is raised, the bulk of your body weight shifts from being evenly distributed across the surface of the mattress to a central location…in the fold of the bed.
It is at this point where the mattress will wear first and wear quickly.
The individually pocketed coil system has always been considered the most comfortable, but not the most durable.
It doesn’t hold up well to sitting, which will be what you’re doing a lot of when the head is raised.
Also, the memory foam will hasten the wear.
Yes, it will work, but it’s not your best choice.
The best material for resisting wear is all natural latex.
An all latex mattress is every bit as comfortable and a whole lot longer lasting…making it a much better value.
