I’ve been shopping for a new mattress.
The one I like, so far, is the Simmons Beautyrest Legend.
My problem with this mattress, is the price.
I’m 5′ 11″ and 200 lbs.
What would you recommend for me that would be similar to the Legend, but less expensive?

Hi Ed,
The thing that makes a Beautyrest mattress so comfortable, is the individually pocketed coils. They contour to the shape of the body and maintain the natural alignment of your spine.
Simmons coils are made raw steel, not tempered, and the upholstery is memory foam.
The mattress I’m recommending also uses an individually pocketed coil unit.
The steel is double tempered and the upholstery is latex….and there’s NO Memory Foam
Latex is and has been the best upholstery material for the last 100 years.
Nothing has ever come along to rival the comfort and longevity.
Conversely, memory foam is the worst….short lived, sleeps hot…a horrible product.
Memory foam has created a boon in the industry.
They are selling more mattresses more frequently to the same people.
The diabolical thing about memory foam is the way it returns when you get out of bed…so that you are highly unlikely to prevail in a warranty claim.
