Wolf or Westin Heavenly Bed Mattress?

Bill writes:
Hi Pete,

Thanks so much for all of the information on your website.
My wife and I are looking for two new mattress, one king and one queen.
Both will be used regularly. We are in our late thirties.
I am 6’1 200lbs and she is 5’7 and about the same.

She had her heart set on the Westin Heavenly Bed mattress.
But after reading tons of horrible reviews and your website, I have convinced her that it would not last and that we should get a firm innerspring mattress with latex topper.
Is there any advantage to getting one of the Beautyrest beds over one of the Wolf beds?
Thanks, Bill
Hi Bill,

It’s the individually pocketed coil system of the Simmons Beautyrest, (The Heavenly Bed), that makes that mattress so comfortable.
Unfortunately, the coils are made of raw steel, (not tempered), and the upholstery is memory foam.
Neither of these statistics are conducive to longevity.
The Wolf Pocketed Coil/Latex Hybrid mattresses are an excellent choice and value.
The coils are made of double tempered steel, for greater durability and there’s NO Memory Foam.
The Tulah has 1″ of latex and 2″ of convoluted poly foam.
The Adara has 2″ of latex and no poly foam.
I have a feeling that your wife will enjoy the softer Tulah model over the Adara.
The Adara is not as soft, but longer lasting.
You can always add a Pure Bliss 3″ Plush Natural Talalay Latex Topper to that, if you and/or your wife would like a softer surface feel…if you’re starting off looking for greater durability.
Here are links to those mattresses and to the latex toppers.

The prices, shown, are complete, including UPS shipping and sales tax.
Thanks, Pete
