Stearns and Foster Henley Mattress from 2008.

Barbara writes:

Hi Pete,

Until I can purchase the Natura of Canada Greenspring Ultra Plush, what do you think of this:?
Someone is selling an older Stearns and Foster Henley mattress. I gather it’s from 2008.
They claim it’s gently used from in guest room.
In the photo, it looks immaculate, with slight wrinkling center of the bed.
For interim, a good buy?
I’m heavy now, @ 250 lbs., but losing wt.
I have excruciating shoulder pain, sleeping on a 9 year old cheap Sealy mattress.
Should I get it and start saving for the Natura Greenspring, which looks like heaven.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a decent bed. I’ve always looking for the bargain bed.
Now, it’s costing me a good sleep with a lot of pain and tossing all night.
Thank You, Barbara

Hi Barbara,

If it turns out to be as you say, it’s a fantastic find.
You can start saving, but beds from then were very well made.
I’m likely to have passed by the time you’ll need to replace it.
In fact, if that S&F mattress turns out to being even close to like new, you can add a latex topper to it.

A soft latex topper will do two things:

Give you that extra cushioning for your shoulder, and increase the longevity of the mattress.

I’m happy for you. Few people find such a wonderful value.

We recommend using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry will extend the life of the mattress.

Thanks, Pete
