Hi James,
An all latex mattress would not work for you, today.
Your aging back requires the pushback support that a coil system provides.
No all foam mattress does that.
If the mattress you have is still in good shape, which wouldn’t surprise me since you are both light in body weight.
It seems to me that your mattress is still supportive, just lacking surface comfort.
My recommendation is to add a soft latex topper to the mattress you have.
