In 2008, we purchased a Sealy Posturepedic Baldwin Hills Cushion Firm king mattress set.
It has reached the end of its useful life.
We are looking for an innerspring replacement of similar firmness and high quality.
Do you have any suggestions?
I like the cushion firm style as the plush top is too plush but the padding has tamped down in spots over the years.
I wonder, can we avoid that with a higher quality mattress?

Sealy was sold to Tempurpedic in 2013.
Everything with a Sealy label, made today, is upholstered with memory foam.
Memory foam is specifically used to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing.
Your mattress lasted as long as it did, because it has no memory foam in it….just polyurethane.
If you want your next mattress to last longer, then the components need to be higher quality.
The mattress we sleep on, at home, is The Natura of Canada Greenspring.
The coils are stronger and the upholstery is Natural Talalay Latex.
Latex is and has been the best upholstery material for the last 100 years.
Our mattress is more than 5.5 years old, and still in like new condition.
This, despite the fact that each of us weighs over 200 lbs.

After the name brands had been sold to investors and all began using memory foam…the worst upholstery material ever invented…we went shopping at the industry trade shows.
