I have read a fair amount of your website, enough to know I really don’t want to try buying another Simmons Beautyrest mattress.

I am a single woman, almost 66 years old and 5’3” 235 lbs.
I sleep in a queen bed in an adjustable base, so no additional foundation is needed. I am mainly a side sleeper.
I tend to sleep in the middle of the mattress, so that is currently where the “divet” or “body impression” is located in my current mattress. It’s only 5 years old, they used to last 20!
I recently bought a 3” medium density latex topper, which has helped me buy some time with this current mattress, which was causing me hip pain.
I am pretty comfortable with the topper, the hip pain has stopped.
But, I don’t sleep well on this mattress. I toss and turn alot.
I also need a mattress that I can flip or rotate on myself, many of the hybrids and latex mattresses are likely too heavy for me to handle on my own.
From your website, I’m interested in the Wolf mattress, the flippable old fashioned type.
But I’m stumped as to which one to get.
I want to make sure any mattress I buy will work with the adjustable base.
Is there different mattress you would recommend for me?
I have generally tended towards a medium feel to a mattress and not firm, being a side sleeper.
But I also read somewhere on your website, to buy a firm mattress and put a topper on it.
I’d love to buy a mattress that I hope will last me 10-15 years.
I hope this is enough info to get you started and any advice is much appreciated.

It’s the best mattress I’ve slept on but it seems to be discontinued.

Good Morning Diana,
Unfortunately, Simmons makes nothing of the same quality as they had been, prior to being sold to an investment group. In fact, that same investment group also bought Serta.
All of their mattresses are upholstered with memory foam, which is specifically designed to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing…not to mention sleeping hot and off gassing the toxic chemicals from which it’s made.
The mattress I recommended to you is very similar in specifications to that old Simmons Beautyrest mattress.
