This is common when trying mattresses at stores.
The floor samples are broken in from people trying them.
A new mattress of the same model is always firmer.
Be thankful for that. You could have gotten a mattress that someone else used and returned.
As disgusting as that sounds, it happens way too often.
A Mattress Topper will do 2 things.
Soften the surface of the mattress.
Extend the life of the mattress by insulating you from the memory foam in the mattress.
Memory foam wears quickly and is activated by your body heat.
A mattress topper, that isn’t memory foam, will prevent the premature wear of the mattress.
