Hello Pete,
The Stearns and Foster Knightsbridge Pillowtop Mattress, that I purchased from you in 2002.
It seems to be at the end of its life, I’m sorry to say.
I have loved this mattress and would love to purchase the same mattress.
After researching your blog, I’m disappointed nothing of equivalent quality exists today.
What is your top recommendation today?
I’m happy to see that you’re still available. I applaud and appreciate your candid expertise.
Thank you!
Best regards, Harry
Hi Harry,
I had a S&F Knightsbridge at home at that time. It was a great mattress.
Nothing S&F makes today is close to the quality of the Knightsbridge, now that Tempurpedic owns them.
Even today’s pillowtops are not worth buying. They are much thicker now and compress quite quickly.
My recommendation comes in two parts…a good, strong, long lasting mattress and a removable mattress topper to mimic your pillowtop.
Your Knightsbridge is a two sided mattress.
I recommend one of our Two Sided Mattresses in Firm…Either the Brolynn or Brandy-Lynn.
The Brolynn is a couple of inches thicker and so, a bit more substantial.
Click on this link to view the specifications and prices for those mattresses:
Add to either of those mattresses a Plush Mattress Topper.
We carry a number of them…shown here:

You’ll need to buy the foundation shown with each mattress, as well.
Shipping is Free.
Thanks, Pete

Using an old box spring to support any new mattress will cause premature wear and void the manufacturer’s warranty.
A waterproof mattress protector will extend the life of a mattress by keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry.
